The latest released by Dev-Team is ready to unlock your iPhone 3G.  It requires using redsn0w and then the installation of ultrasn0w.  If you already jailbroken your iPhone 3G, just add repo666.ultrasn0w.com to your repositories list and then ultrasn0w.

This will unlock your iPhone 3G.  Unfortunately it doesn’t yet work on the 3G S.
