Okay first lets take a look at some differences between the DX and Kindle 2.

 

• It’s not really that much different from the Kindle 2  
• The ability to auto-rotate
• Bigger screen is easier on the eyes 
• The screen seems to look better
• Screen refresh rate is the same
• The keyboard a little different, maybe even better than Kindle 2
• The size difference is visible. 
• The DX is a large device (do you really want that?)
• Price – $489 WOW thats a lot of money for a device like this

I don’t know about you, but Amazon really needs to do something about the pricing scheme for this device.  I mean come on, you can get a netbook now for under $300 and it can do much more then just read books.  Maybe thats just my perception, but I think this device is just way overhyped and way overpriced, but its for you to decide.
